Albany Beverage Retailer Honored at American Beverage LicenseesAnnual Conference
Stefan Kalogridis of Colvin Wine Merchants in Albany is 2014 Brown-Forman Retailer of the Year
BETHESDA, MD – June 26, 2014–Stefan Kalogridis, owner ofColvin Wine Merchants in Albany, New York, was recognized as a Brown-Forman Retailer of the Year at the American Beverage Licensees’Annual Conference, held in Washington, DC. The award was presented by Marc Satterthwaite, Brown-Forman’s Vice President & Director of Sales Operations for North America, and ABL Executive Director John Bodnovich.

Nominated byNew York State Liquor Store Association, Colvin Wine Merchants joins on- and off-premise beverage licensees from across the country who have demonstrated excellence in responsible and innovative sales and service of beverage alcohol. This is the twelfth consecutive year that Brown-Forman, a leading producer of some of America’s favorite distilled spirits brands, has sponsored the Retailer of the Year Awards at the ABL Annual Confernece.
"There are so many aspects of the retail beverage alcohol business that are considered when selecting these members for their awards: excellence in advocacy, responsible sales and service practices and their support of their state affiliate," said Bodnovich.
Beverage licensees, including those recognized with this year’s awards, are primarily small business owners who promote the safe sale of beverage alcohol. Direct retail alcohol sales create more than 1.4 million jobs throughout the country and generate billions in economic impact.
