Liquor Store Association (NYSLSA), Metropolitan Package Store Association
(Metro), The Retailers Alliance and Taste NY have come together to encourage
you to promote New York craft beverages this holiday season with the help of a
new campaign from Taste NY. As always,
we like to support New York Craft Beverages, but with the Holidays quickly
approaching, we thought now would be a great time to work together and reach
out to our members to help promote New York products while supporting small
businesses across the state.
9, 2014 Governor Cuomo
announced a Taste NY pilot marketing and branding program to maximize exposure
for New York State spirits, wines and ciders at liquor stores across the state.
Taste NY promotional materials identifying products as "Made in New York” are
already on display in six participating liquor stores, and will soon be rolled
out in dozens more from Long Island to Western New York.

kits were distributed to attendees at this year’s NYS Liquor Store Association
Holiday Tradeshows in Albany and Rochester, and were promoted at both the
Metropolitan Package Store Association’s 80th Annual Dinner and The
Retailer’s Alliance Annual Black Tie Event. We are proud to feature NYS
spirits, wines and ciders at our signature events and remain committed to growing
and enhancing the visibility of our industry’s small businesses.
As part of our
promotional efforts, we have enclosed a poster inviting you to "Taste NY” this
Holiday Season. We encourage you to please display this poster in your stores
in order to help promote your New York products. Information on how to receive
additional marketing materials such as bottle neckers and shelf talkers will be
made available shortly.

important message with your customers and supporters. By promoting these local
craft beverages, you’re supporting your neighbors and fellow small business
in January 2015 we will launch a series of Taste NY "round tables” which will
be held across the state. These round table discussions will address how to
increase exposure and sales of products made in New York. Stay tuned for dates
