Attention All Retailers: Your Attendance in Albany is Vital to Your Business!

Unite With Your Fellow Retailers at NYSLSA's Lobby Day

May 7, 2024

9:30 a.m. Breakfast Briefing
Empire State Plaza Meeting Room 5

11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Meetings With Legislators

Legislation is currently being considered to weaken New York’s liquor laws. The NYS Liquor Store Association is planning a Lobby Day in Albany to fight against legislation that will negatively impact liquor stores, including:

  • Wine in Grocery Stores
  • Manufacturer Direct to Consumer Shipping
  • Multiple Licenses
  • Adding Wine and Liquor Bottles to the Bottle Deposit Law

Your Elected Officials Need to Hear From You!

Retailers must speak up and tell NYS legislators to reject these dangerous proposals that are not good for New York or the liquor industry. One day in Albany could mean the future success of your store. Attendance is free but you must register in advance.

While you are in Albany, we invite you to attend a private fundraiser hosted by NYSLSA for Assemblyman Al Stirpe, Chair of the Assembly Committee on Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce & Industry. His committee is responsible for considering bills that make changes to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law.  We hope you can attend and show the Assemblyman that we are a strong, united group of retailers who want to protect our independent businesses from detrimental changes to New York’s liquor laws. Even if you cannot attend, you can donate to his campaign.
